I span and the car went beyond the barriers at right hand side weirdly. Sorry guys.
I'm out. This was a rage quit! You don't change the race time 60 seconds before the start. Changed my setup from 1 stop to no stop which made me keep spinning on turn one. Been practicing whole week to get the car and me working for right foot braking and than this... No thanks
Race was not changed it was suggested to change the race length server would have to be restarted it was not Ken Rob and myself carried on when drivers were disappearing then we give up.
Roy I only asked/suggested we might have wanted to run for only 60 mins instead of 90mins, due to there only being 6 of us. Nigel had the final decision and he didn't say anything or agree to change it, which is why it stayed at 90 mins for the start.
Not sure why you needed to change your setup? Tyres maybe?
After 30 mins there were only 2 P-cars and 1 GT car still running/in the race, so we called it a day at 30 laps.
Well its finally over ! lol
This series was out of my time slot for racing on Sundays but when it had no admin after race 3 I had to try & make all work so it is what it is .. apologizes for all that ..
I'm just glad its over ..lol
Sorry to say there was no definite answer to the question if it was going to be 60 or 90 minutes. Those questions shouldn't even be asked. The championship was set up for 90 minute races. Same goes for any and all races being organised. If it says something, you don't change it
I was very disappointed. Been in pain all week and still was pumped for this race. Practice was not enjoyable because of the left leg fracture, but I still wanted to race.
1 - BMW M3 E30 Gr.A 92 vs Mercedes 190E EVO II
2 - Lotus EXOS
45m races (but i'll try the dallara)
Roy we live in a free world and have the benefit of free speech Guys also shouldn't ask what type of race start it is or how much fuel is needed, but they do, along with other questions that are already answered in pre-race & notes usually. It's just normal, human behaviour.
Most of the guys in this race have raced together over the years at other simracing sites and are familiar with races being shortened when the entry turnout is low. After all there is no fun running for 90 mins with such a small field.
From the replay it looks like you had big difficulties in regaining the track from the grass, which was like driving on ice which I also discovered in practice, but you only had one half-spin going into T1. Not sure where "...which made me keep spinning on turn one" comes from when it was a single half-spin.. I'm sorry for your problem in not getting back on track as it looked we would have had a good race.
Taner after checking the replay you could have returned to the track as the barriers ended just a bit further up the hill to the right of where you stopped.
Thanks for taking over this series Rob I know you were thrown in at the deep end you done a professional job shame we did not get that much of an interest in the series because I thought It was really good I had fun.
I went through the barriers like a ghost car but could not manage to return as same way
Anyway. I love all this championship. Thank you for organizng and congratulations to class champions. Well done guys!
Wtf? You re racing with a broken leg? Respect man, you're a die hard!
Its not that my leg is in a cast. The Femur is split so i'm wearing a sort of brace. The leg is mobile although I can't stand on it (yet). So i'm using right foot braking and have to keep the left leg straight. Not easy to do with RWD cars. However everytime I move it a little, which you can't avoid while racing, it hurts.
