Finally two good races, even with a big lag in race 1, which probably cost me P7. Eight place was still a good result. The second race was better, although I forgot to load my set up and then escaped. Noticed in the pits, that I now can´t go out again o_O
Silly me, anyway so I had to overtake. Thanks Ed, Didier, Michael, Lor, Bret there was a lot of respect on track. A bit unfortunate that Bret lost it through turn one, after that the guys in front seemed too fast. But Bill went offroad, Klaus and poor Ken came together as well Ken seemd to have his usual problems which he probably inherited from me. Hope you can solve that, it was still close at the end. I really could feel his pressure. But I was able to resist and additionally inherited P7 because Jens called it a day, seems that he doesn´t work overtime.

For my lack off speed I probably made the most out of it.
And here a little highlight video of race 2.

Well, race number one went well I guess as it ended in P3.
Race number 2 went also rather well, with some great battles on track for P4/P5 with several drivers. Tight but fair I would say.
No one mentioned, no one forgotten :)

But at the end of race 2 an very valuable lesson was learn the hard way, never stop racing :D

I suspect, the leader passed the finishing line with a few seconds to go, but before I passed timer was zero and (at least how I remember it) I had the finish flag shown so I stopped. Noted how my position was falling down it slowly got to me that the race still had a lap to go, got a bit annoyed to say the least, so just hit Esc key... Well well, I think I have seen this behavior sometimes with AMS and since it seems I was the only one stopped I assume it was not an everyone experience :confused:

Well well, that how it is and it's soon a new race :D

Two pretty intense, close races for sure. :) It didn't seem that anybody had a big advantage over the others in the groups that usually race together. For some reason for the past couple of weeks or so, I've been getting unpredictable screen freezes in races irrespective of the sim, so it's happened in AC, AMS & rF2. These have cost me anywhere between 2-5 secs each time it happens and has resulted in me dropping behind cars I was leading before the freeze.
In R1 this screwed me out of a potential 4th place finish and in R2, combined with Klaus running off track and then losing it in front of me, I lost at least 12 secs or more. My 8th place was a result of others bad luck and not my inspired recovery drive. ;)

I have a couple of ideas of what might have been causing it, so will see how it goes in the next couple of races. It was a disappointment tonight as I had one of the best handling cars I've ever had underneath me, so it was a joy to race so closely and confidently with the others around me. :)

Got home yesterday only to discover that my girlfriend had decided to "clean" my computer area.....which meant I had no carpet under my pedals & chair so through the whole event my pedals & seat were moving all over the place on the tiled floor, got an old towel to help reduce the slipping & sliding. I felt like telling her to leave my bloody stuff alone but through fear of being kicked out the house I thought it best to shut up and thank her instead ...anyway...I did enjoy both the races. Race 1 I tangled with Michael , so sorry for that Micheal, not entirely sure who hit who buty in my book any contact is regrettable. Race 1 ended up finishing in 10th. Race 2 was also a good one, this time Philipp was in my face instead of the other way round:D, as Philipp said in his post, I just lost it at the exit of T1 and that was that, eventually finishing 100th...not bad.

    Regards,
    Bret

Race 1, qualified 2nd and found myself in the lead after T1. Was no point trying to defend from Alien Michal as I'd just be losing time myself, so he cruised past. Unfortunately for him, he had pc issues which put me back in 1st. Henry closed up quickly towards end, but didn't have enough time.

Race 2, qualified a little further back in 5th which I held onto t1. After a few others had incidents, I found myself in P2 behind alien Michal. Alien Henry closed up quickly so again, no point fighting so early on in the race. Was a bit of a lunge into t1 though, luckily I was watching my mirrors to avoid contact. Alien 1 and alien 2 ran off into the distance leaving me to have a drive around alone to 3rd.

    18 racing is a pretty good turnout.

Off to teach teammate Jens not to stop racing until the race is finished :D:D

I enjoyed those races, pretty good fun.
I qualified 9th and 8th for each heat, so I had plenty of fights all around. All of them hard foughts, and with fair spirits, which made the whole thing a lot more pleaseant.
Kudos specially to Gerhard and Klaus, for the long and intense battles. But not only them, I think I met quite a few others through both races.
Two top5s on the 2 races, some good points for me. A good round!
